GZ at the RETC 2025

GZ is proud to announce its active participation in the Rapid Excavation & Tunneling Conference (RETC), taking place in Dallas, Texas, next week from June 8–11. Our team members will contribute their expertise through presentations, working groups, and committee engagements in the underground industry with UCA/SME.

  • Vojtech Gall will be participating in Working Group (WG) meetings on Sunday, June 8th related to Conventional Tunneling.
  • Sunday, June 8th,  Nasri Munfah will attend the UCA Working Groups, and on Monday, June 9th (9:50 AM) he will be presenting the paper “Avoiding and Resolving Multi-Party Disputes Arising from Multidisciplinary Underground Projects” along with Jürg Künzle.
  • Vojtech Ernst Gall, Chair of the WG “Information Modelling in Tunnelling,” will present updates during the WG meeting on Sunday, June 8th.
  • On Tuesday, June 10th (1: 50 PM), Thomas Martin will present a paper titled “Bringing a Legacy Structure to 21st Century Standards – Tuscarora Mountain Tunnel Rehabilitation Case Study”.
  • Ritika Kundu will actively participate in multiple committee meetings:
    • Monday, June 9th: Women in Tunneling (WIT) Committee breakfast.
    • Tuesday, June 10th: Recording a podcast as part of the UCA Podcast Committee.
    • Wednesday, June 11th: WIT Committee meeting
  • Louis Falco, Vice Chair NAT Planning & Conference Committee Member meeting on Wednesday June 11th (9:00 AM)
  • Michael Tinney will present “Use of Artificial Ground Freezing for Sprayed Concrete Lined Cross Passages at Silvertown Tunnel Under the River Thames” on Monday, June 9th (1:30 PM).
