Crossrail Tunnel Project Uncovers Ancient Artifacts

What happens when you tunnel beneath a city that has been populated for thousands of years? You uncover artifacts ranging from neolithic stone tools, ancient Roman roads and bronze coins, human remains dating back to the 13th and 16th centuries and even those belonging to patients of Bedlam Hospital, the world’s first psychiatric asylum. Follow the link to The Independent’s website for more information regarding the discoveries that have been made during the construction of  the Crossrail Project, and be sure to check out the GZ Crossrail project page.
