GZ’s Principal Dr. Vojtech Gall Presenting at the 73rd Geomechanics Colloquium

GZ’s Principal Dr. Vojtech Gall will be presenting at the 73rd Geomechanics Colloquium in Salzburg, Austria, October 10 – 11. The Geomechanics Colloquium has established itself as an outstanding platform where experts from science, industry and practice come together to discuss the latest developments and challenges in the field. The session topics of this year’s Geomechanics Colloquium will focus on stability of rock slopes, geothermal energy, assessment and repair of infrastructure, and climate change-related natural hazards.

On Friday, October 11th, at 11:15 AM, Dr. Vojtech Gall will present on “Impact of climate change on natural terrain stability and infrastructure integrity: Insights and case studies from Colombia.” His presentation will offer insights derived from practical engineering based on detailed investigation as well as rigorous research on the interplay between climate change, land-use changes, geomorphological characteristics, and their collective influence on slope stability, landslides, and infrastructure integrity.
