GZ Principals to Speak at NTA and ITACET Foundation Training Program
We are pleased to share that our Principals, Kurt Zeidler and Vojtech Ernst Gall, will be participating as speakers at the upcoming training program jointly organized by the Nepal Tunnelling Association (NTA) and the ITACET Foundation on September 4–5, 2025.
Themed “Conventional Tunnelling and Recent Innovations”, this two-day event will bring together international experts to share knowledge and experiences on topics such as conventional tunnelling methods, design parameters, and geotechnical and structural design in both hard rock and soft ground. Sessions will also highlight advancements in drilling and blasting technology, shotcrete and concrete materials, underground construction information systems, monitoring technologies, and tunnel maintenance and repair.
On Day 1 (14:45–15:30), Kurt Zeidler will deliver a lecture on “Possible Hazards and Counter Actions in Soft Ground.”
On Day 2 (14:45–15:30), Vojtech Ernst Gall, together with Wojcieh Mlecz, will present on “New ITA Guidelines for BIM in Conventional Tunnelling.”
Day one will focus on the design aspects of conventional tunnelling, while day two will feature presentations on cutting-edge innovations. The program will conclude with a roundtable discussion titled “Tunnelling Towards 2030”, summarizing key insights from the event.
