GZ Featured in Two Articles in the Latest Issue of the NATJ
We are proud to share that the June/July 2025 issue of the North American Tunneling Journal (NATJ) features two articles highlighting GZ’ ongoing work in underground infrastructure. These features underscore the importance of our contributions to the industry and our continued commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable tunneling solutions.

The first article, “Small Space, Big Impact” (pages 10–16), focuses on GZ’s involvement in the Grand Central – 42nd Street Project. Senior Tunnel Engineers Louis Falco and Walter Klary, along with Senior Vice President Dominic Reda, were interviewed alongside representatives from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), Skanska, and Naik Consulting Group, PC. The second article, “Rehabilitating the Tuscarora Tunnel” (page 30), highlights GZ’s rehabilitation efforts in partnership with Gannett Fleming, Mosites Construction and Development Company, and Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC). Senior Tunnel Engineer Thomas Martin, who leads the project for GZ, was interviewed alongside PTC representatives. The article explores the project’s unique challenges and the comprehensive design approach implemented to address them.
